Thomas Jefferson Students Named in Who’s Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges
Eight TJSL Law Students Among 2007-2008 Honorees
SAN DIEGO- Eight Thomas Jefferson School of Law students have been nominated and will appear in the 2007-2008 Who’s Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges.
Each year, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges has furthered the aims of higher education by rewarding and recognizing academic excellence on a national level.
Because curricular and extracurricular programs at schools vary greatly, each college is assigned a quota of selectees. Since Thomas Jefferson’s quota is relatively small, selectees are those whose academic standing, participation in extracurricular activities and community services combine to identify a decidedly above average person. In addition, each nominee had to survive the subjective test of being nominated by individual students, student organizations, faculty, and administration.
The following students were nominated for 2008 Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges:
Rebecca F. Anderson
Robert Bello
Nicholas M. Cassidy
Clayton Griessmeyer
Anne Knight
Suzanne Nicholls
Andrew Michael Poplin
Candice Renka
“Thomas Jefferson School of Law is extremely proud of the accomplishments of the nominees
and we congratulate them on their contributions to the Thomas Jefferson community,” said
Kim Grennan, Thomas Jefferson’s Registrar.
According to its official website, the Who’s Who Among Students In American Universities and
Colleges is a tradition created in 1934 by University of Alabama pre-law student Pettus Randall,
to select and recognize outstanding students for their academic accomplishments and scholastic
contributions.
