Secured Credit Law Home » Academics » Academic Conferences

We are happy to announce that this conference has been rescheduled for March 13-14, 2008. We are also proud to announce that the American Bar Association Section on Business Law,  the State Bar of California Section on Business Law and the Center for Global Legal Studies have signed on as co-sponsors of the conference.

About the Conference:
New developments in the secured credit laws of major U.S. trading partners such as Japan, China and France, the new UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Secured Transactions and the OAS Model Inter-American Law on Secured Transactions are rapidly changing the legal landscape for international trade, project finance, securitizations and other uses of secured credit.

This conference will bring together prominent academics, international experts and practitioners, including key drafters of the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide and OAS Model Law, to discuss the important policy issues in harmonizing the secured credit laws of diverse legal systems, and what the future holds for secured transactions law in a global economy.

Portions of the program may be offered as Webcasts on future dates.
