TJSL Hosts 2006 CLEO Summer Institute

A festive table at a CLEO dinner held on June 4, 2006, prior
to the start of the first week of classes. The dinner was held
on the San Diego State University campus where the
CLEO scholars will reside.

Dean Rudy Hasl, who sits on CLEO's Board of Directors,
speaks to the CLEO scholars. "It is an honor for our law school
to host the CLEO Summer Institute and it shows our ongoing
commitment to diversity and student success," Hasl said.

CLEO Executive Director Cassandra Sneed Ogden thanks
Thomas Jefferson School of Law for bringing the Summer Institute
to California. TJSL is one of two institutions in the nation hosting
CLEO programs this summer, and the only California law school
to host a CLEO Summer Institute in the past thirteen years.

Cognitive Academic Protocol (CAP) to the CLEO scholars,
one of various courses offered through the Summer Institute.
CAP is a program designed to maximize every student's learning
potential through a combination of collaborative skills, individual
and group assessments, and time-on-task exercises.
