Study Abroad Opportunities Abound

Thomas Jefferson School of Law is proud to offer several study abroad opportunities for its students and students from other law schools.

Hangzhou, China

The Summer 2008 International Law Program in Hangzhou, China is from May 18 to June 7. Students from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and law schools across the nation will be able to earn four credits in three weeks as they participate in International Business courses taught by Thomas Jefferson faculty.

Nice, France

Another popular summer study abroad option offer by Thomas Jefferson School of Law is the program in Nice, France. Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg are frequent members of the Nice program faculty.

In addition, Thomas Jefferson offers three very special exchange opportunities:

Kingston, Ontario

Students interested in an international practice that focuses on the civil law countries of Continental Europe and Quebec, Canada, have the opportunity to spend a semester at the Queen's Faculty of Law, one of Canada's finest law schools located in Kingston, Ontario (Canada).

Dijon, France

Students fluent in French and interested in a Continental law practice may spend a summer or semester studying at the University of Burgundy School of Law in Dijon, France.

Pristina, Kosovo

Students interested in a truly unique summer excursion can join Professor Bill Slomanson studying for a summer at the University of Pristina in Pristina, Kosovo.

Other Programs

Thomas Jefferson School of Law also shares elective courses with two other San Diego law schools: University of San Diego and California Western. Because Thomas Jefferson is centrally located about ten minutes from each of the other schools, our students can conveniently take an elective class not offered here during a particular semester at either one of the other schools.
