Are you a recent college graduate? Are you a returning student? Pursuing a career change? Are you currently serving or have you served in the military? Join us on Friday, February 21, 2014 for the 14th Annual Women in the Law Conference (WLC).
The WLC will focus on Women and the Military, with special attention on women serving in elite combat units, as well as issues of sexual assault in the military and whether there needs to be legislative reform to the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The conference will be invaluable to individuals seeking to gain insights about leadership and success as defined by some of the nation’s most powerful lawyers in uniform. The lecture series and conference are named after U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who initially visited Thomas Jefferson in 2003. This year’s key note speaker is Vice Admiral Nanette M. DeRenzi, who is the first woman to serve as Judge Advocate General. She is the highest-ranking lawyer in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Also, Captain Stacy A. Pedrozo, will present the lecture and serves as Commanding Officer of the Naval Justice School, which trains every lawyer in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
We welcome you to attend the conference for free with one other guest to accompany you. We will be providing parking and a complimentary lunch. You must have an active LSAC account to register as a guest of the Admissions Office.
