Wildlife Law Seminar (SD 461)
This seminar explores wildlife preservation and conservation issues focusing on the common law, constitutional, and federal statutory underpinnings of U.S. wildlife law. In particular, the course will cover management authorities for, and existing conflicts associated with, protection of biodiversity, endangered species, fisheries, marine mammals, and essential wildlife habitat. The class format will be that of a seminar, focused heavily on class discussion of readings, case studies, guest lectures, and at least one field trip.
