Professional Sports Law (SD 530)
This online course will examine major legal issues that arise in the world of professional sports, including contracts, intellectual property, collective bargaining, antitrust, and employment law. It will also examine the ramifications of decisions made by personnel working in the professional sports industry. This course is one of three core class requirements in the Certificate in Sports Law and Policy program offered at Thomas Jefferson. It is open to all students who have completed their first year of study at Thomas Jefferson or another ABA accredited law school. Preference in terms of enrollment will be given to students who are participating in the Certificate program.
