Thomas Jefferson School of Law professor Marjorie Cohn's latest book is titled, "Cowboy Republic: Six Ways the Bush Gang Has Defied the Law."
"From the political firings of the U.S. attorneys, to Dick Cheney's claim that he is not constrained by rules governing the executive branch, to Bush's commutation of Lewis 'Scooter' Libby's sentence, this administration continues to misuse its power to the detriment of the people," Cohn said.
Cohn teaches criminal law and procedure, evidence and international human rights law. She is president of the National Lawyers Guild, lectures throughout the world and provides legal and political commentary on human rights and U.S. foreign policy for CBS News, Court TV, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, NPR, Air America and Pacifica Radio.
