Harjit K. Sull has joined Thomas Jefferson as the Associate Director of Academic Success – Writing Specialist, and is working to design an innovative and experiential Academic Success and Bar Preparation Program at TJSL that provides all students with the necessary skills and support to succeed in law school and beyond.

Prior to joining TJSL, Ms. Sull was a partner at San Francisco law firm Akay Sull LLP.  For over seven years, she represented and counseled domestic and international businesses in identifying, assessing, and managing risk to support strategic business goals, acting as a cost-effective in-house counsel. Ms. Sull also has extensive civil litigation experience in all stages of litigation, from consultation and inception to mediation and trial. Her practice areas included corporate governance, employment, contract, real estate, and construction law.

In addition to practicing law, Ms. Sull was a Bar Grader for the State Bar of California. She graded both substantive Essays and Performance Tests over her tenure with the State Bar. Most recently, Ms. Sull taught Practical Legal Writing, a course focused on preparing 3Ls and 4Ls for the written portion of the California Bar Exam, as an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
