Professor Meyer started his library career at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Library as the Electronic Services Librarian, where he was in charge of the computer labs and Westlaw and Lexis training. He regularly taught MCLE courses and developed and taught advanced legal research courses. Professor Meyer then spent 5 ½ years working at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles -- first working in the Computer Resource Center and then as the Foreign & International Law Librarian. At Loyola he taught Legal Research, a first year course, to over 100 students each year, and Electronic Legal Research, and an upper level elective. Both courses integrate print and online research.

From 2006 through 2009, Professor Meyer served TJSL in the capacity of Associate Library Director, where he was in charge of public services, to include reference and research services, circulation, and interlibrary loan, and participated in overall library management. In addition, he taught at least one section of advanced legal research, and supervised another section, each semester.

Professor Meyer is a recent President of the Southern California Association of Law Libraries (SCALL), a group of about 400 law librarians from San Luis Obispo to the Mexican border. He served on the SCALL board for five years. SCALL is a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries. Professor Meyer was recently a member of the ThomsonWest Legal Research and Writing Advisory Board.
