Ross L. Franks

M.S., University of Arizona, Systems Engineering;
B.S., Arizona State University, Electrical Engineering
Prior to attending and during evening law school, Professor Franks spent ten years working as an engineer with Hughes Aircraft Company and Hamilton Sundstrand. Following graduation from law school, Professor Franks entered private practice in Silicon Valley with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP as an intellectual property associate. He also worked as an intellectual property associate in the Silicon Valley office of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP. Following this private practice experience, Professor Franks worked as an in-house patent attorney for Qualcomm Incorporated in San Diego. Professor Franks currently manages and operates his own intellectual property law firm in San Diego.
Professor Franks is a member of the state bar of California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
