Federal Communications Commission to speak on Dirty Words and Dirty Pictures

Please join Prof. Rierson and the Center for Law, Technology & Communications in welcoming Mr. James Carr from the General Counsel’s Office of the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C. Mr. Carr will be lecturing on Dirty Words and Dirty Pictures: FCC Regulation of Indecency in the Courtyard Building, room 201, from 4:45-5:45 PM.

Mr. Carr received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his JD from Stanford Law School. His work experience includes being a Law Clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Nicholas J. Bua and working as an Associate with Wilmer Cutler, & Pickering in Washington, DC. In his current position, Mr. Carr has presented oral arguments defending the FCC in over 25 cases in various federal courts of appeals (including the D.C., 2d, 5th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Circuits). All students are encouraged to attend this lecture.
