After graduating from Yale Law School, where she was a director of the Prison Clinic, Professor Berg became a staff attorney with the Georgia Appellate Practice and Educational Resource Center, in Atlanta, where she represented death-sentenced inmates in all stages of state and federal post-conviction remedies as well as clemency proceedings and 1983 civil rights actions. Professor Berg then practiced in the litigation group of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP, also in Atlanta, where she represented multinational clients in complex litigation including securities fraud, business tort and contract, and intellectual property matters.
