Former CalTrans Counsel Jeffrey Joseph Named Associate Dean & General Counsel for TJSL

SAN DIEGO -- Distinguished local attorney Jeffrey Joseph has been named Associate Dean and General Counsel at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Joseph will serve as counsel for the law school and its board of trustees. In addition, Joseph will continue to be an Adjunct Professor of Law at Thomas Jefferson, teaching a course on civil procedure.

Joseph recently retired as Deputy Chief Counsel for the California Department of Transportation where he had served since 1992. He also served as a Principal Attorney in the Special Prosecutions Unit of the California Attorney General’s Office as well as a Deputy Attorney General in the Criminal Division.

“His practice, experience and connection to the School of Law over so many years make him an excellent choice for this position,” said Thomas Jefferson Dean Rudy Hasl.

After earning his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, Joseph received his juris doctor degree from the University of California at Davis. He has been an adjunct professor at Thomas Jefferson since 1990.

Joseph is very active in the San Diego legal community, and will help the Thomas Jefferson School of Law maintain its high profile within that community.
