UC Davis Professor Lectures on IP.3. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2005
Please join in welcoming Prof. Madhavi Sunder from UC Davis School of Law on February 25th. at 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in LLB 300. Prof. Sunder will be presenting her article entitled “IP3.” This article explores the convergence of identity politics, the Internet Protocol, and intellectual property. Prof. Sunder looks at case studies from hip hop mash-ups to claims for indigenous intellectual property rights. She argues that such claims demonstrate a shift from incentive/economic based claims for IP to identity based claims. Professor Sunder is an extremely interesting and innovative speaker.
