New Dean to Lead School
The members of the Board of Trustees of Thomas Jefferson School of Law have announced that Rudy Hasl has agreed to be the next dean of the law school effective July 1, 2005. Dean Hasl has a wealth of valuable experience and affiliations in the legal education community that will immediately benefit the law school.

Dean Rudy Hasl
Dean Hasl has served a total of 24 years as dean at three other ABA law schools, including Saint Louis University, St. John’s University and, most recently, Seattle University School of Law. He has a successful track record in fund-raising, capital improvement planning and oversight, and institutional reputation building. At Seattle, his tenure as dean resulted in that law school moving from the fourth tier to the second tier in the U.S. News & World Report law school rankings and earning high marks in other areas as well.
He also has extensive experience in leadership positions within the ABA, the Association of American Law Schools, and the Law School Admissions Council, currently serving on its Board of Trustees. Dean Hasl has served as Chair of the ABA Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar and its Accreditation and Standards Review Committees.
In addition, his four years as a member of the TJSL Board of Trustees from 2001-2004 have familiarized him with the issues and opportunities facing the law school. The Board of Trustees expressed great confidence that the law school will continue to grow and prosper with Dean Hasl’s leadership and the support of the law school community.
