Dovie King

On Thursday, April 28, 2011, TJSL’s Associate Director of Career Services Dovie King will be a lead presenter at NALP’s Annual Education Conference in Palm Springs. Founded in 1971 as the Association for Law Placement, NALP is a nonprofit  providing information, coordination and standards for members engaged in career planning, recruitment and hiring, and professional development of law students and lawyers. As NALP’s largest annual event, the Conference will be attended by hundreds of career professionals, faculty and law firm representatives from across the U.S. and Canada.

Dovie is representing NALP’s Public Service Committee, speaking on the topic of post-graduate public interest fellowships, such as Skadden, Equal Justice Works and Soros. As a former Equal Justice Works Fellow and current public interest law/fellowships adviser at TJSL, Dovie has gained expertise on the topic, publishing numerous articles on fellowship opportunities for law school graduates. Last fall, Dovie was also a guest speaker at NALP’s Public Interest Conference at Georgetown University Law.

TJSL students and alumni interested in fellowships are encouraged to contact Dovie for more information.
