Entertainment Law Conference

TJSL is hosting an exciting entertainment law seminar on Saturday, November 12, with some important players in the industry coming to the law school to present. Nationally syndicated TV judge,  Greg Mathis,  will moderate one of the panels.

The seminar is called  “From Deals to Disputes and Creators to Lawyers: Film, TV and Videogames in the Age of Remix”

“This conference brings together top lawyers and in-house counsel along with talented creators in the film, TV and video game worlds to explore the deals and disputes swirling in the audio-visual arena,” says TJSL entertainment law professor K.J. Greene, who organized the conference, along with 2L Camara Mathis.

“We are excited to have two of the top lawyers from Microsoft’s Xbox division, counsel from the Dr. Oz Show and a designer and artist from the Oscar-winning movie “Lord of the Rings.”  TJSL alumna Marisa Sommerville at American Idol Productions will also be a presenter.

The keynote speaker in this dazzling line-up of presenters is Denise Beaudoin, the Legal and Business Affairs  counsel of the Dr. Oz Show, who has also worked with Disney, MTV/VH1 and Dick Wolf Productions.

Hold on to your seats, audience, this conference has it all!” says Professor Greene.
