Those interested in our Earth’s future have much to look forward to this spring, with the introduction of Professor Albert Monroe’s Law on Climate Change Seminar.  TJSL students got an overview and sneak-preview of the seminar from Professor Monroe on January 15.

Professor Monroe began his discussion on Climate Change by discussing his interdisciplinary approach to the issue. Not only will his seminar look at the issue of Climate Change through a legal lens but due to his multi-faceted background and expertise, the economic, scientific, and policy aspects of the issue will also be explored.  Climate change effects a  broad spectrum of disciplines in law – affecting property rights, land use decisions, public health, cultural disputes, and economic laws to name a few.

This seminar will be held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:20 and will give students who are interested in environmental law and those who prefer property, economic or healthcare law equal opportunity to gain from Professor Monroe’s expertise. This is truly a unique opportunity for students to see how the areas of law that interest them are impacted by this environmental crisis. Professor Monroe is sure to instill in you the proficiencies needed to be successful in the area of law you wish to practice.
