Like most law students, I didn't have much money and barely made it through my first year. Being fortunate enough to earn an academic scholarship at Thomas Jefferson during my second and third year made the difference between staying in school full-time and taking time off to earn money. Plus, being rewarded for my hard work really boosted my self-confidence and compelled me to stay focused on my studies to make the most of them.
