SBA president Brian Ray and other student volunteers began collecting donated cases of water, diapers and personal products for the shelters where evacuated families are staying.

On Tuesday, they delivered supplies to several evacuation centers, including Chicano Park and Mira Mesa High.

On Wednesday, they delivered two carloads of supplies to The Rock, a church in Pt. Loma which has a mountain of relief items for the families who have been displaced by the firestorms.

Ray is touched by the outpouring of support to his fellow TJSL students and he and the others are working on further plans to gather even more goods and raise money to help fire victims.

Also, Elizabeth Grumet
and a group of TJSL
students spent several days at Qualcomm Stadium volunteering for the evacuees from the fires. They all did everything from heavy-lifting to helping evacuees individually. Elizabeth was even interviewed on the Today Show by NBC's Al Roker.Al Roker & Milie Joshi

"I just wanted to let you know that despite all the tragedy, there was a true sense of community out there and that TJSL has some wonderful students," Grumet said.
