One of the most long-time and popular adjunct faculty members at Thomas Jefferson School of Law has been honored as the recipient of the first annual Adjunct Faculty Professor of the Year Award for 2005. Professor Stan Wezelman, who teaches Insurance Law, Remedies, UCC Sales, was recognized at the annual appreciation luncheon for TJSL's adjunct faculty at the law school on March 29, 2006.

The announcement was made by Associate Dean Steve Semeraro, who had high praise for all of TJSL's adjunct faculty members who share their real world expertise in the classroom and help TJSL offer such a wide range of elective courses to the students. Dean Semeraro noted that it seemed most appropriate to honor Professor Wezelman as the first recipient of this annual award because of the large amount of time that he dedicates to teaching at TJSL year-round and the fact that "he makes the students happy."

Professor Wezelman's name will be the first to appear on a plaque that will recognize a member of the adjunct faculty each year. The plaque reads: Adjunct Professor of the Year- For outstanding dedication to instilling in our students an understanding of the law and the desire to strive for its ethical and just development. The location of the plaque will be in the waiting area of the third floor of the Law Library Building between the faculty assistants.

Professor Golden added that Professor Wezelman is not only good at what he does and helps out the school by teaching a diverse range of courses, but that he is beloved by the students as well as respected by them.
