Moot Court Society Starts Another Year of Success!
The TJSL Moot Court Society is proud to announce their recent success at the California regional Thomas Tang National Moot Court Competition, in San Francisco on October 7-9, 2004. The students displayed great appellate advocacy skills and team member, Marty Ready ranked fourth in the Best Oralist category. The team consisted of Heather Harle, Marty Ready and, coach, Jamie Blackburn.
Two teams also competed at the University of San Diego National Criminal Procedure competition held on October 14 – 16, 2004. The two teams displayed superb appellate advocacy skills in their brief writing and oral arguments. The team of Rob Hill and Marjie Antoine, with coach, Sarah Crowley placed 10th overall, out of over 36 nationally competing teams, in the written brief category. The team of Dave Jones, Morgan Hezlep and, coach, Stephanie Simmons also did well, but did not place.
