TJSL Student Bar Association to host lunch at Ronald McDonald House
Sunday March 14, 2004 from noon to 1:30, the TJSL Student Bar Association is hosting a lunch at the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego. TJSL students and faculty will provide and serve lunch to the current residents of Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House is a "home-away-from-home," a temporary lodging facility where families of children with cancer, leukemia and other serious illnesses reside while children are treated at nearby hospitals. The House provides emotional support to parents and siblings of sick children who also benefit by knowing that family is close by. For families traveling great distances to receive specialized medical care the House eliminates costly hotel bills, while providing a secure place to stay -- a place where additional strength and stability are received from other resident families in similar situations.
Joshua Kellcy, Student Bar Association Community Service Chair, made the announcement of the service opportunity.
