Seventy-Seven Thomas Jefferson School of Law Students to Graduate
Defense Attorney Thomas Mesereau to be Commencement Speaker

SAN DIEGO – Seventy Seven Thomas Jefferson School of Law students will graduate on Sunday, December 17, 2006, at the Aerospace Museum in Balboa Park. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.
Distinguished defense attorney Thomas A. Mesereau, Jr. will be the commencement speaker to the graduating class, all of whom will receive the degree of juris doctor.
Tom Mesereau is known for his defense of clients in high profile cases, such as the Michael Jackson child molestation case, and was also on the defense team of actor Robert Blake in Blake’s murder case.
Mr. Mesereau is a partner with the firm of Mesereau & Yu, LLP, in Los Angeles. He was educated at Harvard University, the London School of Economics and the University of California’s Hastings College of Law.
Among the distinguished Thomas Jefferson graduates is class valedictorian Erin Lindquist, who is graduated summa cum laude. She is a Jefferson Medal recipient, who was highly successful as a member of Thomas Jefferson’s Mock Trial Team. Lindquist also served on the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and has plans to become a trial attorney.
Sandy Arsham, graduating cum laude, is a winner of the Charles Bumer Civil Libertarian Award, the CALI and the Witkin Awards of Excellence and the Jefferson Medal. She is also the president and founder of the new American Constitution Society at Thomas Jefferson.
Matthew Kracht, a member of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and the Christian Legal Society, is graduating magna cum laude, is an honor roll student and was named to the National Dean’s List. His brother, Joe Kracht, graduated from Thomas Jefferson in 2003.
Sarah Jaffe, graduating cum laude, is a Student Bar Association representative and three-time honor roll student. Sarah is interested in Employment aspects of Corporate Law and her husband Adam Jaffe graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law last May.
The new graduates will join the law school’s more than 5,000 alumni that include San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis and United States Congressman Duncan Hunter.
Thomas Jefferson School of Law, located just off Interstate 5 in historic Old Town, is fully accredited by the American Bar Association, and the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State of California.
