Thomas Jefferson Professor Marjorie Cohn gave a presentation on "Countering or Creating Terrorists: Use of torture and denial of rights" to a group of 700 high school students from the U.S. and Mexico at the WorldLink, 10th Annual Youth Town Meeting, held at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, University of San Dieg
o, on Jan. 24, 2007.
Professor Cohn also taught 3 sections of thirty students, addressing the topic “Security must be based in justice and the rule of law."
The conference was titled: Countering Terrorism: Addressing Global
Security Threats and the Use of Torture, WorldLink, 10th Annual Youth Town
Meeting.
