“Etiquette Dinner” For Thomas Jefferson School of Law Students
Protocol Expert to Impart “Secrets” of Good Table Manners for Job Hunters
Where do you put used butter wrappers?
Can you put crackers in soup?
Where do you set flatware when finished?
These are among the questions which will be answered for law students who attend an “Etiquette Dinner” presented by Phi Alpha Delta and Thomas Jefferson School of Law’s Career Services Office on Thursday evening February 15, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. in the El Pueblo Room of the Hacienda Hotel, 4140 Harney Street in Old Town.
Many employers interview over lunch/dinner, and law students who want to impress them with their skills (not turn them off because you ordered Cheerios for an entrée,) will benefit from the event.
Marie Betts-Johnson of the International Protocol Institute of California will be instructing on proper business etiquette when dining with a hands-on walk through.
Students will enjoy the tutorial during a 3-course meal, according to Thomas Jefferson student Eric Ganci.
“The etiquette dinner is going to be a hands-on presentation to learn proper business dinner etiquette,” Ganci says. “Dinner etiquette can be a challenging if you’re on an interview. Proper etiquette can make or break a deal when trying to impress employers.”
