The National Lawyers Guild (NLG,) along with its president, Thomas Jefferson Professor Marjorie Cohn and TJSL’s NLG chapter sponsored a presentation titled: ”War on Terror? What they don’t tell you” on Thursday April 12th at the law school.

The featured speakers were noted civil rights attorney Leonard Weinglass and Salim Lamrani, who edited the book Superpower Principles.

Weinglass currnetly represents a group of federal prisoners known as the Cuban 5, who were convicted on charges of acting as agent on behalf of the Cuban government.

Supporters of the Cuban 5 maintain they were arrested after they tried to warn the United States government of terrorist plots by right-wing Cuban extremists living in the U.S.
