Thomas Jefferson’s Federalist Society hosted its last event of the year on April 24.
Author Doug Bandow gave a presentation titled "Globalization: Boon Or Bane For The World's Poor?"
Bandow is an attorney, author and network commentator, who was once a special assistant to President Ronald Reagan.
In his lecture, Bandow said that globalization is perceived as the enemy and a recent phenomena. But he feels that when one looks back over history, trade between nations is what advanced societies. Globalization is not what has kept countries impoverished, according to Bandow – it’s a lack of opportunities. Those opportunities are what a globalized economy brings, he feels.
