Fourth Annual Sports Law Symposium: Building Success in Sports
The Fourth Annual Thomas Jefferson School of Law Sports Law Symposium titled, Building Success in Sports, is geared up with prestigious speakers that will give firsthand perspectives on sports and law-related opportunities in the sports industry.
Scheduled participants include Major League Baseball Hall of Fame Legend Dave Winfield presenting the keynote address; Major League Baseball Agents Randy Grossman, Dave Stewart and Barry Axelrod; and National Football League agent Kurt Varricchio, who does both entertainment and sports representation.
A second panel on breaking into the sports industry will feature: Tera Black, Chief Operating Officer of the San Diego Gulls; Jim Lackritz, Director of San Diego State’s Sports Management MBA Program; and Susan-Corey-Tuckwell, Director of Human Resources for the San Diego Padres. The third and last panel of the day highlights issues in Sports Management and Licensing, and will feature CEO of Encore Sports and Entertainment Chris Stuart, San Diego Padres CEO Sandy Alderson and TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Company Director of Legal Affairs Amit Kumar.
Thomas Jefferson School of Law is a State Bar of California approved MCLE provider. This program will qualify for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by The State Bar of California in the amount of three (3) hours.
