Eric Bernsen is Intellectual Property and Patent Prosecution Attorney at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP.  Bernsen focuses his practice on preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications for a wide variety of technologies, with a particular emphasis in electronics, wireless power, video coding and compression, multimedia, and wireless communications, including Wi-Fi and CDMA.  He also has experience in prosecution of applications for technologies involving medical devices, radar, and aerodynamics.


Bernsen graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2012.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, cum laude, in 1999.  Since 2009, he has been in the United States Navy Reserve.  He has been the Phi Alpha Delta Assistant District Justice since 2012 and he has served on Veterans Bar Association since 2009.


Prior to joining Procopio, Eric was Patent Counsel at Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear, LLP.
