Thomas Jefferson School of Law Signs Agreement with Torrey Pines Bank
Bank Will Provide Financial Services to Law School, Students, Faculty and Staff
SAN DIEGO -Thomas Jefferson School of Law and Torrey Pines Bank have announced a partnership to provide banking services to Thomas Jefferson students, faculty and staff. The agreement marks the first time in the law school’s 38-year history that such a comprehensive package of financial services has been offered to the law school community. Thomas Jefferson has nearly 800 students and more than 100 full-time faculty and staff. In addition, the bank will provide institutional financial services for the law school.
“We believe this new agreement with Torrey Pines Bank will be of great benefit to everyone in the TJSL community because of the valuable array of services to be offered,” said Rudy Hasl, Dean of Thomas Jefferson School of Law. “The convenience of these services to our students is of particular importance because their schedules are so demanding.”
“In addition to a full range of banking and financing products and services, Torrey Pines Bank offers us great personal attention and direct connection with the bank’s leadership,” said Thomas Jefferson’s Chief Financial Officer, Nancy Vu. Vu added that the law school is exploring a special package of financial services for the law school’s more than 5,000 alumni, the majority of whom live in San Diego.
Torrey Pines Bank will soon be installing the first ATM on the Thomas Jefferson campus and provide these personal banking services to TJSL students:
• Checking account with no monthly maintenance fee
• No annual fee reserve/overdraft protection
• VISA® classic or platinum credit card with no annual fee
• No maintenance fee on internet banking
• ATM access, where available; bank will absorb up to $15.00 in ATM transaction fees per month
• Loan payments made easy via online internet banking
Along with the above services, Torrey Pines Bank also will provide the following range of personal banking services to Thomas Jefferson’s faculty and staff:

• Safe Deposit Box with no annual fee
• Home Equity Loans
• First Order of Torrey Pines Bank Checks at no charge
