TJSL Students to Receive 2010 La Raza Scholarship

La Raza Scholarships

Danaly Barajas, Elizabeth Knowles and Xasha Valderrama are among this year’s recipients of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association Scholarship, which recognizes law students who have contributed to the betterment of the Latino community.

Formed in 1979, the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association represents over 300 Latino lawyers in San Diego County and strives to advance the cause of equality, empowerment and justice through service and advocacy.

Danaly, Elizabeth and Xasha have demonstrated a strong record of community service, leadership and academic achievement, and will receive their awards at the 2010 La Raza Lawyers Annual Dinner being held at Loews Coronado Hotel on October 9.
