LA Alumni Group Welcomes Dean Guernsey

Alumni from class years 1975 through 2013 came together for a lovely picnic in Santa Monica to welcome Dean Thomas Guernsey and his wife, Kathe Klare, on Saturday, August 17.
Dean Guernsey appreciatively said, “The warm welcome Kathe and I received at the picnic and the enthusiasm from alumni to support students and recent graduates reinforces my belief that Thomas Jefferson is uniquely positioned to lead the way in meeting the challenges facing the legal profession.”
“We were very pleased and honored that Dean Thomas Guernsey and his wife Kathe Klare were able to attend,” said one of the LA Alumni group leaders, Mona Alcala Mahdara ’08. “For our first weekend event we had a great showing of TJSL alumni with attendance from all over LA and Orange County! The LA Alumni Group plans to host other types of events in LA County such as MCLEs, mixers and charitable activities in the near future for our growing alumni group!”
The hard work of LA Alumni group leaders were commended by the many alumni who attended, including one who said, “We love that we now have TJSL events on a regular basis in the LA area.”
When asked about the picnic, Alumni Association Board Member and one of the LA Alumni group leaders, Sterling Williams ’11, remarked, “It was a pleasure to meet Dean Guernsey and his wife, Kathe Klare, at the picnic. I was excited to see so many friends and former classmates. I am looking forward to the next LA event and continuing to strengthen the Thomas Jefferson Alumni Network.”
