Prepare your gowns, tuxedoes and masks for this year's Barristers Ball, a Masquerade!

 

The event will be held at the Hilton Bayfront on February 9, 2013. 

 

 

TICKETS

 

Tickets for this grand affair will begin at $60, and may be purchased until February 5.

Tickets include:

  • Two drink tickets
  • Wine served with dinner
  • Three-course plated dinner
    • Salad
    • Choice of chicken, beef, or vegetarian
    • Dessert
  • Entry to after party, held immediately after the awards ceremony

Check-in begins at 5:30 pm, which will also feature a cocktail hour.  Dinner and awards begin at 7:00pm, and the after party will begin at 9:00pm.

SEATING PREFERENCE

 

Upon purchasing your ticket, please let us know if you have a preference of who you will be dining with at the table.  Each table seats ten people.  If you would like to sit with a certain group, or have your tables in close proximity to each other we will do our best to accommodate your request. 

 

Only one member from the table needs to send a request. We will only finalize table requests once all parties have purchased their tickets.

Voting Procedure

 

To vote you must add “Student Bar Association – Thomas Jefferson School of Law” as a course on TWEN. The voting will be under the “Customized Polling” tab on the left. 
 
The Awards categories are as follows: 1L Professor of the Year, 2L Professor of the Year, 3L Professor of the Year, Staff Member of the Year, Adjunct Professor of the Year, and Student Organization President of the Year
 
Please vote ASAP as polls will close Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 8 P.M.
 
 
ATTIRE
 
This is a “Black Tie Optional” event, please dress appropriately as this will be strictly enforced at the door.

DECORUM

 

This is a formal event and awards ceremony honoring members of the Thomas Jefferson Community. There will be not only faculty present but also members of the broader legal community in attendance.  During the awards ceremony please be polite and respectful. Please remember that this is a school function so be mindful of your alcohol consumption / behavior.

 

 

HOTEL

 

The Hilton Bayfront is located on 1 Park Boulevard, which is close to our school.  However, we strongly discourage driving home after consuming any alcoholic beverages, and have obtained a discounted rate of $169 per night at the Hilton.
