The Alumni Relations Team provide services that help our alumni succeed and that strengthen the relationship between our alumni, the school and future generations of law students. The following services have been developed through input from our alumni.
Online Community: A free, password protected opportunity for alumni to stay connected with over 6,000 alumni.
Monthly E-newsletter: Includes the latest school news, class notes, events and networking opportunities.
Career Services: The Career Services office provides a wide array of assistance to TJSL alumni in their search for employment, whether you are looking for your first lawyer job or a mid-career change. Current employment opportunities are posted through Symplicity, a web-based job database available to students and graduates.
MCLE (Minimum Continuing Legal Education): Thomas Jefferson School of Law is a certified MCLE provider in the State of California. MCLE events are often preceded by a reception which provides an opportunity to network with alumni, faculty and staff.
Library Privileges: Alumni have access to library materials, use of any of the 16 terminals in the library without having to log in to use the Internet, free WestPac (Westlaw for Alumni) and OnLaw (digital version of all the CEB California secondary sources) access from the campus library, reference librarians to call on for their expertise, remote access to ThomCat (online catalog), admission to mini-classes on sundry legal research tasks and admission to legal research boot camp. Alumni must check-in at the fourth floor circulation desk.
Events: Receptions, seminars, social events and continuing education classes provide opportunities for graduates to network and have fun.
Free Transcript: The Registrar will provide transcripts at no cost.
Audit Classes for Free: Based on availability and instructor approval.
Diplomas: Western State University San Diego graduates receive a complimentary TJSL diploma upon request.
