Alumni Services and Benefits

Alumni Relations provide services that help our alumni succeed and that strengthen the relationship between our alumni, the school and future generations of law students. The following services have been developed through input from our alumni.

All TJSL graduates (including Western State University College of Law) are members of the Alumni Association. Western State University College of Law graduates can receive one complimentary TJSL diploma upon request. Please contact with your name, graduation year and preferred mailing address. After your request is received, your TJSL diploma will be mailed to you free of charge.

Register today and join the TJSL Online Alumni Community. There are more than 7,000 alumni in the TJSL network. The directory is free and secure. Find alumni around the region and interact with other alumni through the Online Alumni Community. If you have problems with registration, contact the Alumni Relations Office at or (619) 961-4263.

The Career Services Office provides a wide array of assistance to TJSL alumni in their search for employment, whether you are looking for your first lawyer job or a mid-career change. Current employment opportunities are posted through Symplicity, a web-based job database available to students and graduates.

The Continuing Bar Candidate Program (CBC) offered by Thomas Jefferson School of Law demonstrates the school’s commitment to its graduates and their dreams of becoming licensed attorneys. The program is aimed at students who were unsuccessful at their first attempt at the California Bar Exam.

The TJSL Center for Solo Practitioners provides a business incubator setting to the New Solos with the goal of producing successful, public-service-oriented practitioners. Every year, the program will welcome six to ten lawyers who have a desire to establish their own law practices.

Alumni have access to library materials, use of any of the 16 terminals in the library without having to log in to use the Internet, OnLaw (digital version of all the CEB California secondary sources) access from the campus library, reference librarians to call on for their expertise, remote access to ThomCat (online catalog), admission to mini-classes on sundry legal research tasks and admission to legal research boot camp. Alumni must check-in at the fourth floor circulation desk.
