Nicholas P. Terwilliger
J.D., 2020, Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
B.A., California State Northridge
Professor Terwilliger is a musician turned attorney specializing in intellectual property law, business, and estate planning. He began his career 30 years ago studying music in various genres including jazz, rock and classical. He focused his career on the business side of music and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Music Industry Studies at California State University, Northridge where he learned the intricacies of music business and the importance of intellectual property rights.
As a working musician, Professor Terwilliger discovered that assistance was often needed in understanding an individual’s intellectual property rights and how it affects their career. As a result, he decided to pursue a law degree to help musicians and artists. While attending the Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL) where he specialized in intellectual property law, Professor Terwilliger worked at the I.P. clinic helping low-income clients secure their copyright and trademark protections.
As a licensed attorney, Professor Terwilliger has continued his passion for intellectual property law but has also had the pleasure of expanding his practice to include estate planning and business law. His compassion, empathy, and understanding is what separates him as an elite estate planning attorney.
Professor Terwilliger teaches Wills and Trusts.
