Renée N. Galente offers robust representation to clients throughout the San Diego region in both criminal and civil matters as a trial lawyer. While Renee primarily heads the firm's civil litigation practice, taking on an array of matters ranging from business disputes to all manner of plaintiffs' personal injury litigation, she is also a formidable criminal defense attorney. In particular, she is well-equipped to defend those accused of DUI, having been qualified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the International Association of Chiefs of Police to administer field sobriety tests, detect impaired motorists and instruct police officers in these methods. Among her numerous accolades are recognition s such as Best of the Bar by San Diego Business Journal, Outstanding Service by a New Lawyer by the San Diego County Bar Association, A. Thomas Golden Alumnus of the Year Award, and Top 40 Under 40 by San Diego Metro Magazine. 

Renee obtained her Bachelor of Science in marketing and business administration prior to pursuing her Juris Doctor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2008. Since then, she has deepened her legal knowledge through training in multiple areas at Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College and working with experienced litigators at one of San Diego's leading plaintiffs' personal injury firms before starting her current firm in 2011. She also serves as a mediator for Thomas Jefferson’s Probate Court Mediation Program. Renee remains abreast of developments in her practice areas, as well as connected with the legal community, through her many memberships in professional organizations, including the California Women Lawyers, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, the San Diego County Bar Association, San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association and the California State Bar Solo and Small Firm Executive Committee.

A San Diego native, Renee dedicates significant time and resources outside her practice to community outreach efforts. As a zealous supporter of the Human Rights Campaign's mission to promote equality and legal protection for LGBT individuals and their families, she is a member of the organization's Federal Club. She also participates in significant outreach to the homeless community in San Diego, focusing on veteran and youth outreach.
