Building Community for Our Online JD Students Across California

We are thrilled to celebrate the success of our four Regional Meet Ups this year, bringing together Online JD students, Residential JD student leaders, faculty, staff, and TJSL alumni across the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Diego. Each gathering offered online students the chance to meet classmates and connect with TJSL alumni living in their local communities. For many, it was their first time meeting peers who live just 10–15 miles away and a great reminder of the reach and strength of our Online JD Program.
Seeing these local connections come to life underscored the reach and strength of our Online JD community, even with students living across different regions.
These meet ups would not have been possible without the commitment and generosity of our student leaders, Bobbie Medina, Khalid Dada, Shelia Clerina, and Han Mac, for their support and vision, and to our amazing alumni who attended the regional receptions: Domanique Moore, Taryn, Fallon Martinez, Diana Laranang, Ashley Salas, Noah Larsh, Kristina Aghazaryan-Larsh, Nicholas Terwilliger, and Sofia Wadler.
With the continued growth of the Online JD Program, the Law School remains committed to fostering opportunities for online students to connect in person, build community, and expand their professional networks. We look forward to expanding these opportunities and creating even more moments that bring our students, alumni, and the broader TJSL community together.
