The SBA Plans To Hit A Home Run At This Year’s Barristers Ball
March 18, 2015
Grab your best evening wear and get ready for this year’s Barristers Ball being held at Petco Park on Saturday, March 28 beginning at 6 p.m.
“The SBA is very excited about this year’s event,” said SBA Social Events Director Michelle Ribaudo. “We are doing a grand reveal of the field after cocktail hour and all guests will be accessing the field through the breeze way tunnels and proceeding onto the field by first base. Dinner will be set up in center field where guests will be greeted by live music performed by the professors group The Innocent Bystanders.”
Tickets are $85.00 and include a 3-course chicken or vegetarian dinner, a drink ticket, wine at the table, photo booth, a chance to win prizes with a free raffle drawing and entry into the after parties. “This year, there will be 3 locations for the after party to ensure that everyone is guaranteed free entry and event specials,” said Ribaudo. “The venues hosting the after parties are Fluxx, Sidebar, and F6ix. All venues are providing free entry and separate lines for Thomas Jefferson School of Law guests.”
The Barristers Ball is SBA’s annual awards ceremony and reception honoring students, faculty, staff and alumni. It is an opportunity for the entire law school community to come together and celebrate achievements in a fun and formal setting.
Throughout the evening, awards will be handed out for:
- 1L, 2L and 3L Professor of the Year
- Adjunct Faculty Member of the Year
- Staff Member of the Year
- Student Organization President of the Year
- SBA Appreciation Award
