TJSL Students Tyler Barclay, Zedric Dalisay, and Christine Lopez Receive Scholarship Awards

Three Thomas Jefferson of Law students received scholarship awards at the annual Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego (PALSD) and Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego (FALSD) dinner. The dinner was held on January 31, 2019 at the Jasmine Seafood Restaurant in Kearny Mesa. The PALSD and FALSD scholarships are to assist individuals in covering the of the California Bar Exam. Tyler Barclay (’18) received a scholarship for his success on the TJSL Mock Trial Team and the 3 semester interning for the Public Defender’s Office of San Diego (and subsequent post-bar position). Zedric Dalisay (’19) received his award for his continuous activity with the affiliate bar associations (including participating in the PALSD Mentorship Program) and his work with the Nonprofit & Business Law Clinic. Finally, Christine Lopez (’19) received a special individual scholarship award from FALSD. She was recognized for including being an active participant of FALSD (including serving as this year’s student representative and volunteering at events), being current President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and a law school career focused on the non-profit sector.
