Top Sports Agent Makes Return Visit

Super-Agent Leigh Steinberg visited the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Center for Sports Law & Policy this month. Leigh spoke about his 40-year career in sports and entertainment representation as one of the top agents of all-time. He also discussed his consulting role in movies like “Jerry Maguire,” “Any Given Sunday,” and “For the Love of the Game.” The event closed with a book signing by Steinberg of his book “The Agent”.

Steinberg has represented many of the most successful athletes and coaches in sports, including the number one overall pick in the NFL draft for an unprecedented eight times in conjunction with over 60 first round picks. Furthermore, Steinberg has represented other notable athletes such as Oscar De La Hoya and Lennox Lewis, as well as multiple Olympians and professional teams. With an unrivaled history of record-setting contracts, Leigh has secured over $3 billion for his 300+ pro athlete clients, and directed more than $750 million to various charities around the world.

This was Steinberg’s fourth visit to the law school in the last four years. Leigh was the keynote speaker at the Center’s Third Annual National Sports Law Negotiation Competition in 2013. He was also recognized by former Center Director Rod Smith in 2013 with the “Excellence in Sports” Award. Leigh also spoke at the law school in 2014.
