Vince Hall ’08 to be Mayor’s Chief of Staff
November 19, 2012
Thomas Jefferson School of Law graduate Vince Hall ’08 has been appointed as chief of staff to newly elected San Diego mayor Bob Filner.
Hall has been serving as the Vice-President of Public Affairs and Communications for Planned Parenthood & Riverside Counties since he graduated in 2008.
“I am honored to have this opportunity to serve Mayor Filner and the people of this great city, which has been my home for nearly 30 years,” Hall said. “I am inspired by the opportunity to bring my many years of experience in local, state, and federal government to bear on the challenges facing the new administration. I look forward to putting my law school education from Thomas Jefferson to work in the critical policy-making in the mayor’s office.”
Hall has served on Filner’s staffs with both the San Diego City Council and in Congress. Hall also served as the staff director for former California governor Gray Davis.
“Vince brings decades of expertise and experience to this important leadership position,” said Filner. “His management skills and political savvy are well respected by leaders from throughout our community and both political parties.”
Hall is now working with the Filner transition team and will assume his new position in the mayor’s office when Filner is sworn-in on December 3.
Congratulations from everyone in the TJSL family!
