Last month, Office of Career Services Director Jeff Chinn and Associate Director Isabel Eustaquio represented TJSL at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego’s (LASSD) Pro Bono Program Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.  TJSL was given an “Outstanding Service Award” for coordinating law student volunteers with LASSD. The luncheon also recognized individual students who contributed 50 hours or more of volunteer work at an LASSD office: Mario Alvarado, Trinity Daniel, Nancy Juarez, Patricia Milbery, Augustin Razo, Carola Murgia. Chinn said that “while it was wonderful to receive an award, it was better to see our students being recognized for their pro bono work.  I was also happy to see three TJSL alumni who work at LASSD – Daniel Laguna (’10), Christine Pangan (’03), and Lorena Slomanson (’03).”
