Jeremy is the Managing Attorney and Owner of the California Sports Lawyer firm, representing sports and entertainment professionals in contract drafting, negotiations, licensing and career growth.  Jeremy provides legal advice and general counsel services for businesses, which includes development, document and agreement drafting, review, negotiations, protection and compliance.  Jeremy is a “Finalist and Winner” (1 of 10 attorneys out of 400 nominations) for the “San Diego County Outstanding Young Attorney for 2013!” award, as nominated by his peers through The Daily Transcript.  Jeremy is rated 10.0 out of 10.0 by his peers and clients on the lawyer rating service 


Jeremy is the Director of the Center for Sports Law & Policy at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.  For 2014, Jeremy is the Diversity Fellowship Program Director with the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA) in conjunction with the Association of Corporate Counsel.  In November 2013, Jeremy was elected as the Vice Chair of the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the SDCBA, where he also serves and was elected to the New Lawyer's Division Board of Directors for the SDCBA for the 2012-2014 term, and is the Mentoring Liaison/SDCBA Mentoring Committee Representative (2013-2014) and former co-chair of the Continuing Legal Education committee (2012-2013).  Jeremy was elected as Vice-President of the Alumni Association of Thomas Jefferson School of Law Board of Directors for the 2013-2014 term. Jeremy has served on the Board of Directors since being elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2013 for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2015 terms, respectively, where he serves and has chaired the following committees: Bylaw (Chair), Alumni Outreach (Chair), Padres, and Annual Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament benefiting the Veterans Legal Assistance Program (former Chair). He is also on the Editorial Staff and is a Contributor for the San Diego Lawyer Magazine.


Jeremy attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, emphasis in American Politics. He graduated Law School in San Diego from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Bar Association, and Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper, The Jeffersonian. Jeremy received the 2014 A. Thomas Golden Honorary Alumnus of the Year Award as selected by Thomas Jefferson School of Law alumni, students, faculty, and staff.


While in law school, Jeremy competed three times in the National Baseball Arbitration Competition held in New Orleans and currently manages the Thomas Jefferson School of Law competition team, which won the 2012 Championship.  Jeremy is the Founder and Director of the National Sports Law Negotiation Competition, a nationally recognized sports law competition and conference, which is held by Center for Sports Law & Policy at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.


Prior to opening the firm, Jeremy worked as a graduate law clerk and staff attorney with the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, Central Division, advising judges and commissioners in civil and criminal law and motion matters.  For two years during law school, Jeremy worked for the Office of the Public Defender for the County of San Diego and a civil business and constitutional litigation firm as a Certified Legal Intern.  Prior to law school, Jeremy worked in finance for the number one business-only litigation firm in the country, Quinn Emanuel Uquhart & Sullivan LLP in Los Angeles, and prior to that was in politics, working for a California State Senator as a legislative aide and field representative.  Jeremy holds a Certificate as a Certified Political Consultant-Campaign Manager, from the National Institute of Politics. 


Jeremy is a member of the State Bar of California, the Sports Lawyers Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the San Diego Entertainment & Sports Lawyers. He is licensed to practice law before all courts in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Jeremy is also licensed as in-house counsel in the State of Arizona pursuant to Supreme Court rule 38(i)(3).
