TJSL to Host Bankruptcy Law Career Event
October 8, 2012
If you have thought about a career in bankruptcy law, you will want to attend the panel discussion at TJSL on October 24, “Developing a Successful Bankruptcy Career: Judges and Lawyers Share Their Secrets.”
The National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) is holding its conference in San Diego from October 24-27, and one of the highlights is the panel at TJSL on the 24th from 3:30 p.m. – 4:45 pm in room 323.
Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to meet the panelists and network with judges and attorneys at a reception on the 3rd floor after the event hosted by the NCBJ-National Bar Association Liaison Committee.
“Thomas Jefferson School of Law’s bankruptcy and financial law professors are delighted that federal judges attending this year’s annual National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) have selected us to host part of the conference,” said TJSL Professor Chris Guzelian. “This is a rare and outstanding opportunity for all San Diego-area law or business students. Students can network with distinguished federal bankruptcy judges and practitioners and will learn about professional opportunities in the field of creditor and debtor relations.”
Who is invited?
According to the invitation, “Law students from the region’s law schools and students from any of the undergraduate colleges in and near San Diego who are interested in business law, restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy, or corporate or consumer debt solutions are welcome. If you have only the slightest interest in becoming an attorney, or if you are already in law school and you are unsure of which area of law you wish to practice in, you should come to this program.”
Please RSVP by October 22, 2012, to firstname.lastname@example.org if you intend to attend the reception.
