Michele H. Berger, Esq. is admitted to practice in California and New York. Most recently she served as a Managing Attorney for a local business. During this time she recruited and managed over three dozen contract attorneys across the country. She established the internal legal department, served the company’s various in-house legal needs, and supervised the legal team.
Prior to that position, Professor Berger was Corporate Counsel for Cleinman Performance Partners in New York, the largest consulting firm in the vision care industry in North America. In this role, she honed her skills as a generalist and concentrated greatly on a variety of contracts, including mergers and acquisitions, succession agreements, employment agreements, vendor agreements, and cooperative marketing agreements. Initially however, Professor Berger began her legal career in civil litigation for a small firm in downtown San Diego.
Professor Berger received her Bachelor’s Degree in English, with a double minor in Secondary School Education and Spanish, from Salem State University. With a MA Teacher Certification for English 8-12, she taught for 3 years as a highly qualified teacher in her content area before entering law school. Professor Berger graduated with honors, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, after only two and a half years of study. She received a Certificate in Global Legal Studies and was actively involved in a number of student led organizations, including the Tax Law Clinic, Phi Alpha Delta, and Law Review.
