Prof. Cowart brings almost 25 years combined private-practice and in-house experience to TJSL’s intellectual property department. Since 2007, JD has served as Law Vice President & Chief IP Counsel at Teradata Corporation, an S&P 500 Index company, where he & his team are responsible for all aspects of intellectual property protection, licensing, enforcement, defense, acquisition, divestiture, and counseling. Before that, JD’s practice was grounded in patent prosecution, portfolio development, and opinion work in the electrical, mechanical, and software arts at NCR Corporation and Fish & Richardson P.C.
