Isabel received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her B.A. in Computer Studies from Northwestern University. She clerked for an Illinois Appellate Court judge right out of law school. Then she moved to San Diego to teach Lawyering Skills to first-year law students at the University of San Diego School of Law. Isabel later worked as a Westlaw Account Representative where she ran a training center and trained attorneys and law students how to use the online legal research database. She also represented plaintiffs at a local San Diego employment law firm. Before coming to TJSL, she was working at the San Diego County Law Library, where she helped attorneys and self-represented litigants with their legal research. Additionally, she managed the MCLE programs, newsletter, and social media for the law library. In her spare time, Isabel likes to run and to play beach volleyball.

The Thomas Jefferson School of Law faculty is highly prolific in the field of legal scholarship and our professors are in demand as speakers and panelists at legal events in the U.S. and abroad.
